Compassionate

Selflessly serving and caring for others.

When Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they are doing,” He was lowering the drawbridge between Heaven and Earth. Jesus never stopped loving people. He never stopped thinking of ways to reach out through the soul roadblocks and reconnect them as Kingdom family. Some ways to practice being compassionate are:

* Be sensitive to the needs of your neighbors and find ways to meet them

* Volunteer as an altar worker for our services that God’s miraculous healing power may touch peoples’ lives

* Help to meet the ongoing needs of Kalamazoo via the inner-city ministry, the Kalamazoo Dream Center.

* Participate in their Saturday Adopt-A-Block ministry that serves the needs of people in the Edison Neighborhood.

To live out this core value means that I will never write anybody off as unimportant to God and will seek every way possible to selflessly serve and care for others with Christ’s love.
