A VERY RARE GOLD MEDAL OF ACHIEVEMENT AWARD CEREMONY WAS HELD ON WEDNESDAY EVENING, JUNE 9TH, IN THE CHURCH SANCTUARY!

On Wednesday, June the 9th Justin Wing was awarded the Gold Medal of Achievement. Justin is the 3rd Ranger from our Outpost to receive this award – a very great achievement! Check out his page on the left margin!... "JustinWingGMA".

June the 9th was the end of regular Rangers for the summer. However we will be continuing our program in a special way. We will be meeting every other Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:30. We will be meeting outside for the most part and be working on our camping merits such as Cooking, Tool Craft, Lashing, and Compass. The Discovery Rangers will be taking turns cooking dinner for us over a camp fire as part of their learning. Dads can stay and share a meal as their will be no regular adult classes! We will also be working on our gateway for POW-WOW which is our biggee summer campout up in Gaylord – August 11-14. Please plan for this and get the info pack.

MICHIGAN DISTRICT RR SPRING COMMANDERS CONFERENCE was a tremendous success! It changed to a Saturday only event with Training being the feature of the conference. There were 88 Commanders attending and a whopping Seventy-seven completed the newest Training Module released from National office just one week earlier... Ranger Essentials. We had three commanders from our oupost on the Training Team; our very own Senior Commander, Tim Walker, Michael Lathrup and Don Prentiss.
