OUR PASTOR
Pastor Dave joined Kfirst as Lead Pastor in April of 2009. Dave’s vision is to see Kfirst as a vibrant, life-giving community that makes it simple for people to find and follow Jesus. He loves teaching and preaching, and his passion for ministry is based on healthy relationships.
Pastor Dave and his wife, Anne, have been married for over 27 years and have four children: Camryn, Ethan, Josh, and Claire. They are also proud grandparents to their grandson, Zion.

At the center of the Christian faith is a shared table. Communion is more than when we remember the body and blood of Jesus with the bread and wine. Communion extends beyond that and includes our communion with the body of Christ around the shared table of community.

At Kfirst we believe that learning happens best in circles rather than rows. In a circle, every member has something to contribute and every member has something to learn. Each Training focuses on a specific topic and takes a deep dive into it.

SEX IN A BROKEN WORLD
Sex is one of the most powerful and contested gifts God has given humanity. In our cultural moment, confusion, shame, excess, and silence often replace clarity, beauty, and wisdom. Sex in a Broken World is a sermon series designed to offer biblical clarity about sex without naïveté, cruelty, or embarrassment while holding out the redemptive vision of Christ.
Rather than reacting to cultural extremes, this series seeks to form disciples who understand sex as God designed it: meaningful, covenantal, embodied, and holy. The goal is not merely correct behavior, but healed hearts, renewed minds, and faithful lives shaped by the gospel.
This series is pastoral in tone, theologically grounded, and culturally aware. It speaks to singles and marrieds, the young and the old, the wounded and the weary, reminding the church that no one is beyond grace—and no topic is beyond God’s wisdom.

Month of Prayer
“Starting January 4, we’re inviting our whole church into a Month of Prayer. Each day, we’ll share a simple prayer focus online to help us grow in unity, faith, and love for our community.
We’ll also gather midweek with a Facebook Live prayer every Wednesday at noon, and we’ll kick things off with First Wednesday Prayer on January 7 at Kfirst.
Whether you’re praying along at home, at work, or with us in person, we hope you’ll join us as we seek God together this January.”

holy spirit training
Following Jesus means learning to walk with the Holy Spirit in our everyday lives. Holy Spirit Training is a dedicated evening where we’ll gather to grow in our understanding of the Holy Spirit and create space to respond to what God is doing in us.
We’re honored to welcome Dr. Brian Lidbeck—author, professor, and Academic Dean at Northpoint College—who will be with us teaching and leading throughout the night.
This gathering is encouraged for everyone and designed with families in mind. While adults participate in the main session, children in Kindergarten through 6th grade may register for an Elementary Track with Pastor Carissa and her team, where kids will learn about the Holy Spirit in an age-appropriate and engaging environment.

BAPTISM
If you’ve decided to follow Jesus and haven’t been baptized yet, we’d love to celebrate that step with you. Water baptism is a meaningful way to publicly express what God is already doing in your heart. Our next baptism is on March 1, and we’d be honored to walk with you in this moment.
KFIRST FOOD PANTRY
The Kfirst Food Pantry Team organizes food distribution to those in need in our community. The food pantry happens on the third Thursday of the month.
Volunteers are needed for the following areas: food ordering, drivers, grocery uploading, phone volunteers, set up and clean up, greeters, registration, food runners and packers, and prayer partners.
MY STORY
Stories are important for two reasons. First, they put into word what we’ve experienced to form gratitude in our hearts. They help us both appreciate and articulate the goodness of God. Second, the become the vehicle to reveal to others God’s faithfulness in the past. Stories remind us that God has been working in the past and He continues to work today.
